Connect AdRadar to n8n

Short answer

In n8n, add an MCP Client Tool node to your AI Agent, set the endpoint to https://adradarmcp.cloud/mcp, choose the HTTP Streamable transport and use Bearer authentication with your adr_ key. The agent can then call the four AdRadar tools in a workflow.

How to connect AdRadar to n8n

  1. Get an API key

    Buy credits at adradarmcp.cloud/en/pay (60 scans cost $3). After payment you land on your account page, where the key is shown. It starts with adr_.

  2. Add the MCP Client Tool node

    In a workflow with an AI Agent node, add an MCP Client Tool node and connect it to the agent's tool input.

  3. Set the endpoint and transport

    Use this endpoint URL and choose the HTTP Streamable transport. AdRadar answers over Streamable HTTP only; it does not offer the older SSE transport.

  4. Add Bearer authentication

    Choose Bearer authentication, create a credential and paste your adr_ key as the token. n8n then sends it as Authorization: Bearer adr_....

  5. Test the agent

    Run the agent with a message like the prompt below. In the node's tool list you should see the four AdRadar tools.

What you get

  • ad_radar_spy (1 credit): Search the public Meta Ad Library by keyword and country, then score each ad by run time and creative reuse.
  • ad_radar_tiktok_top (1 credit): Top 20 TikTok auction ads for a country from TikTok Creative Center.
  • ad_radar_evaluate (1 credit): Classify raw ad copy (hook, angle, audience, CTA) without scraping.
  • ad_radar_balance (free): Show the credits left on the connected key.

Troubleshooting

The node errors on connect or returns 401
Check that the transport is HTTP Streamable (not SSE) and that the credential holds your key, not a placeholder.
My scheduled workflow is using credits
Every ad_radar_spy, ad_radar_tiktok_top and ad_radar_evaluate call costs 1 credit, so each run that calls them spends credits. Keep prompts narrow (1 to 3 keywords) and use ad_radar_balance to monitor the balance.
401 Unauthorized, or the tool says missing_api_key
No key reached the server. Add your key as Authorization: Bearer adr_YOUR_KEY (or ?key= on the URL for clients that only take a URL). OAuth connectors need a fresh sign-in: remove and re-add the connector.
invalid_api_key
The key is wrong or mistyped. Copy it again from your account page. Keys start with adr_.
insufficient_credits
The key is out of credits. Top up and retry. The same key keeps working after a top-up, and a new key starts at 0 credits.
Results are for the wrong country
Scans default to US. Name the country in your prompt (for example "in the UK" or "in Vietnam"); the tools take ISO country codes such as GB or VN.
A scan failed or returned nothing
Failed scans and scans with 0 results are refunded automatically (the tool result says refunded: true). Retry later.

$0.05 per scan (1 credit). ad_radar_spy, ad_radar_tiktok_top and ad_radar_evaluate cost 1 credit each; ad_radar_balance is free. Packs: $3 = 60 scans, $5 = 100, $10 = 200, $25 = 600, $50 = 1400. No subscription, and credits never expire. Failed scans and scans with 0 results are refunded automatically.
