Short answer

To connect AdRadar to Cursor, add an adradar entry to ~/.cursor/mcp.json with the URL https://adradarmcp.cloud/mcp and an Authorization: Bearer adr_YOUR_KEY header, then restart Cursor. The four AdRadar tools appear in chat and each scan costs $0.05.

How to connect AdRadar to Cursor

  1. Get an API key

    Buy credits at adradarmcp.cloud/en/pay (60 scans cost $3). After payment you land on your account page, where the key is shown. It starts with adr_.

  2. Edit mcp.json

    Open (or create) ~/.cursor/mcp.json and add the adradar entry, replacing adr_YOUR_KEY with your key. If the file already has mcpServers, add only the adradar block. For Windsurf, change url to serverUrl.

  3. Restart Cursor

    Restart Cursor so it reloads the MCP configuration, then check that adradar is listed with its four tools.

  4. Check your balance

    Ask: Call ad_radar_balance and tell me how many credits are left. It is free and confirms the key works.

  5. Ask a question

Troubleshooting

Cursor shows adradar as failed or returns 401
The key is missing or the header is malformed. Check that the value is exactly Bearer adr_... with a space after Bearer, that the JSON is valid, and that you restarted Cursor.
401 Unauthorized, or the tool says missing_api_key
No key reached the server. Add your key as Authorization: Bearer adr_YOUR_KEY (or ?key= on the URL for clients that only take a URL). OAuth connectors need a fresh sign-in: remove and re-add the connector.
invalid_api_key
The key is wrong or mistyped. Copy it again from your account page. Keys start with adr_.
insufficient_credits
The key is out of credits. Top up and retry. The same key keeps working after a top-up, and a new key starts at 0 credits.
Results are for the wrong country
Scans default to US. Name the country in your prompt (for example "in the UK" or "in Vietnam"); the tools take ISO country codes such as GB or VN.
A scan failed or returned nothing
Failed scans and scans with 0 results are refunded automatically (the tool result says refunded: true). Retry later.

$0.05 per scan (1 credit). ad_radar_spy, ad_radar_tiktok_top and ad_radar_evaluate cost 1 credit each; ad_radar_balance is free. Packs: $3 = 60 scans, $5 = 100, $10 = 200, $25 = 600, $50 = 1400. No subscription, and credits never expire. Failed scans and scans with 0 results are refunded automatically.
