Short answer

To connect AdRadar to ChatGPT, create a custom connector in Developer mode (Settings > Connectors > Create), set Authentication to OAuth and paste https://adradarmcp.cloud/mcp. ChatGPT opens a Google sign-in to link your AdRadar key.

How to connect AdRadar to ChatGPT

  1. Create a connector

    Custom MCP connectors are available in ChatGPT's Developer mode. Go to Settings > Connectors > Create, name it AdRadar and set Authentication to OAuth.

  2. Paste the server URL

    Paste this URL as the connector URL and save.

  3. Sign in with Google

    ChatGPT opens a Google sign-in to link your AdRadar key. No key to copy.

  4. Top up credits

    A new key starts at 0 credits. 60 scans cost $3. ad_radar_balance is free.

What you get

  • ad_radar_spy (1 credit): Search the public Meta Ad Library by keyword and country, then score each ad by run time and creative reuse.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find Create under Connectors
Custom connectors need Developer mode, and menu names or availability can differ by plan and workspace. Check ChatGPT's own help for where custom MCP connectors live in your account.
ChatGPT says unauthorized or asks me to reconnect
The gateway answers HTTP 401 when a request has no credential or the OAuth token has expired. Reconnect the AdRadar connector and complete the Google sign-in again.
401 Unauthorized, or the tool says missing_api_key
No key reached the server. Add your key as Authorization: Bearer adr_YOUR_KEY (or ?key= on the URL for clients that only take a URL). OAuth connectors need a fresh sign-in: remove and re-add the connector.
invalid_api_key
The key is wrong or mistyped. Copy it again from your account page. Keys start with adr_.
insufficient_credits
The key is out of credits. Top up and retry. The same key keeps working after a top-up, and a new key starts at 0 credits.
Results are for the wrong country
Scans default to US. Name the country in your prompt (for example "in the UK" or "in Vietnam"); the tools take ISO country codes such as GB or VN.
A scan failed or returned nothing
Failed scans and scans with 0 results are refunded automatically (the tool result says refunded: true). Retry later.

$0.05 per scan (1 credit). ad_radar_spy, ad_radar_tiktok_top and ad_radar_evaluate cost 1 credit each; ad_radar_balance is free. Packs: $3 = 60 scans, $5 = 100, $10 = 200, $25 = 600, $50 = 1400. No subscription, and credits never expire. Failed scans and scans with 0 results are refunded automatically.
